Tulane football player who fractured spine in game undergoes surgery - CNN.com

Ban the gladiatorial game, left over from our Barbaric ancestry. All players from HS to pro retire with life long injuries. It is criminal to have our children inflicting and inflicted with physical injuries. It is time for parents to refuse to sign release forms, and for people to stop watching.  
 
It is our responsibility to keep our children safe and to stop accepting violence as a from of entertainment. Parents who authorize their kids to play this sport are endangering their children.
