Radiation fears grow - Reuters

Here is the latest from Reuters:

- There has been contaminated food outside of the 30 km zone including Tokyo
- 13 millions are staying indoors and wearing face masks
- The biggest markets of Japanese products are Hong-Kong, China and the US
- China is monitoring the food
- it has jailed a man for 10 days and fined him 500 yuan for spreading fear
- South Korea is expanding inspection
- the US is distributing KI (potassium Iodide) to US citizens in Japan
- The partial meltdown rattled the markets last week
- Tokyo markets closed on Monday = Holiday
- water pump at reactor 2 is on
- radiation found in veggies, milk and dust
- radiation has been found in the Pacific, Iodine-131 was found 126.5 times and Caesium-137 24.8 times over the allowed limit (thus the Chinese worker was right to suggest not eating seafood for a year)
Reuters is wrong to attribute any of Caesium 137 in nature from natural sources; Caesium-137 background is due to Chernobyl, in other words there are no natural source of Caesium it is solely a fission product.
- Japanese near the plant urged not to drink water
- Radiation levels exceeding provisional standards have been found in some products
- WHO said the radiation impact is becoming more serious than first thought and that contaminated products escaped the zone.
- 350,000 people are homeless
