U.S. Still Using Security Firm It Broke With

$400 million in contracts to protect diplomats; while our soldiers are dying doing the same jobs for a lot less. The U.S. contracts Blackwater because the contractors are not controlled by the public.  They have impunity to do things that our soldiers would be court marshaled for.  It is scandalous.  Check the whole story:  http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/22/us/22intel.html

Afghanistan + More Troops = Catastrophe (Full Video)

I liked the video until the end, when it was said that Pakistan was "the most dangerous country" because it suggested that we should move our troops to Pakistan.

Right now the most dangerous countries are Russia, United States, Europe and Israel.  We have displaced millions, killed millions, and injured millions.  We are not better than the torturers in Congo and Sudan, we act the same: we terrorize populations.

If there was a place to send troops to protect populations against aggressors would be: Palestine, Congo and Sudan.  But we ignore the atrocities because they do not have resources we want, or their corrupt government gives them to us.

Troops should only be deployed to prevent populations from an aggressor.

Which troops can protect their population against us?

Medical Papers by Ghostwriters Pushed Therapy

It is scandalous, but not surprising. We need to regulate pharmaceutical sale technics, from software used by doctors to decide which drugs to give patients based on symptoms entered in the diagnostic software; to the companies giving doctors incentive to push their brands.

We also need the FDA to do its job and not permit the release of drugs before the drugs are tested sufficiently.

The pharmaceutical companies are responsible for millions of deaths. In 2004 in the US 7,500 deaths were due to pain killers, deaths due to prescription opiods like oxycodone, methadone and hydroxycodone.   http://www.hhs.gov/asl/testify/2007/10/t20071024a.html  In 2005 more than 12,000 deaths were due to prescription drugs and represented more deaths than deaths resulting from illegal drugs. http://www.cdc.gov/Features/PoisonPrevention/

UN says road kills as many as AIDS

Between 2000 and 2015 road accidents would cause 20 million deaths and 200 million serious injuries. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/23/unitednations.transport

Deaths by car accidents have dropped 17.5 percent in Europe because people are driving less due to the economic recession. Telegraph,22 July 2009. The conclusion is clear: humans must not be allowed to drive.
