U.S. envoys press Palestinians to drop U.N. statehood bid - The Washington Post: "JERUSALEM — Two senior White House envoys arrived Tuesday for meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders in a last-ditch effort to head off a Palestinian bid for recognition of statehood at the United Nations this month."

Palestinians yearn to rebuild a sovereign nation from the ashes of their ancestral land which has been occupied since WWII, and instead of asking them not "to bid for recognition" we should back their efforts.
