Congress flirts with shutdown after bill fails | Reuters: (Reuters) - "Republican leaders were scrambling on Thursday to find the votes to keep the government funded after the embarrassing defeat of a spending bill threw into question Congress' ability to pass basic laws."
If only it was the military budget, Homeland security and other defense/spy agencies which would get slashed then we could think that the Republicans have the nation and its people's interests as a priority, that foremost they desire: to create jobs, to provide health care for all, to improve education, to protect the people's right to a retirement, and to protect the elders.

And we agree with China the world did not expect the destruction of Libya and the terrorizing of the Libyan population. This is an aggression which was not authorized by the US congress and thus is illegal. The UN must immediately denounce the actions of three very frustrated leaders.
