Everyone knew but TEPCO! three reactors melt throughs, several spent rod fuel pools overheated, ocean water used in a flow rate of the "Diabolo" and flowing back into the ocean... We all knew this is an accident which, like Chernobyl, will leave the Northern Hemisphere wounded for the next 50 to a few thousand years. Shame on the psychopaths who own the world.

This is a good start; but what kind of tanks?
Millions of feet cubed of water has been used to try to keep the reactors at Fukushima cool
Just to get an idea of the amount of water used by Tepco in the past 3 months to try to cool the reactors and spent fuel pools, I decided to look at the numbers, and they are monumental. Unit 1 is as of June 5 injected with water at the rate of 5m3/hr, unit 2 at 5 m3/h, and unit 3 at 11.5 m3/h (these numbers are substantially lower than they have been and go up and down, and we don't have a rate of water spraying of the spent fuel pools, so the number will be lower than the actual ft3 in three months.
Here is the math 5 +5 +11.5 = 21.5m3/h X 24 hours/day (3 X 30 days) = 46, 440 m3/3 months now for the Americans:
46,440 m3 = 1,640,013 ft3 and the actual number is at least 3 times that number. for example my living room is 17 X 13 X 9 = 1989 ft3 they filled up my living room at least 825 times.

Rather than playing war games the world must stop this catastrophe. It is contaminating the atmosphere and the Pacific ocean. No one, rich or not, will be spared. We must end this crisis.
Also fish particularly salmon, albacore and other fishes migrate and can reach the coast of the US therefore it is likely that all the Asian coastal areas will be contaminated. This is not Japan's problem it is the world's.

CBCnews reports heavy rain are delaying the work at Fukushima
The danger of such an heavy rain will be the spread of radioactive contamination of ground water and although Tepco is trying to prevent the flow of contaminated water to the ocean, we ca safely say that this will not be possible.

I translate:
"Units 1,2 and 3 remain in a critical state since they don't have a constant source of water. TEPCO the plants owner is now injecting fresh water in the core vessels of 1,2 and 3; but because of the presence of a huge amount of salt there are problem keeping the reactors cool. Fukushima is still spewing radiation particles into the atmosphere and the Pacific Ocean.

Several teams are in Japan and some are on their way to further assess the situation; a food safety assessment team is on its way to provide advice and assistance on sampling and analysis.
Four reactors are still spewing radiation and are still in critical condition:
1,2,3 and 4 are still having serious problems:
Unit 1:
Light has been restored and thus have recovered some instrumentation. Fresh water is being pumped into the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) instead of sea water.
Unit 2: Seawater injection into RPV
Unit 3: Fresh water into the RPV, seawater pumped onto the spent fuel pool. Also, workers sprayed the outside of the building.
Unit 4: Concerns remain focused on the spent fuel, seawater being pumped.
RPV pumping of water suggest some damage to the cores and vessels.
Also, there has been sea water samples taken 30 km away and found high level of I-131 and Cs-137 and the radiation particles will travel with the currents and will undoubtably reach other shores.
