Meltdown occured at Fukushima No. 1 reactor 16 hrs after March 11 quake

TEPCO finally confirmed the meltdown of reactor 1; and since it is leaking we can assume that the corium bore through and is working its way down the concrete slab below the reactor vessel. It will possibly reach the ocean and possibly ground water.
